Set inside the six- acre farm are two cottages, four double rooms, the old spacious farmhouse and a couple of attached rooms. Having been converted from a school, the buildings overlook a large playground covered in green. They are surrounded by an incredible variety of flowering plants and trees.
A long swing, a suspended tyre, basketball hoop and the playground keeps children entertained.
There is hot and cold water in all the bathrooms, mosquito nets in the windows and designated free parking areas.
Wi fi and television is also available in all the rooms. There is provision to make tea or coffee and we provide fresh towels, linen, shampoo and soap.
Breakfast is complimentary. Typically it is south Indian cuisine with Dosa, Idli, Poori etc. We are happy to cater to your needs with toast, egg or other special requests.
We can provide safe drinking water. Please avoid bringing plastic bottles to the eco-sensitive Nilgiris.
We are sorry that we cannot provide accommodation for drivers. Happy to arrange for a room nearby.
SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED inside the rooms. We restrict the use of hard liquor in the campus.
We prefer to host only families. Exceptions are solo travelers, groups that would like to book the entire place, school children, foreign or Indian travelers with long term partners
There is the possibility of wild elephants wandering into the property in spite of the solar electric fence. We advise all guests to be alert and not venture out in the dark.
Services
GeParking is available inside the campus. We do not allow drivers to sleep in the vehicle. We can help you to find accommodation nearby for a reasonable cost.
Rooms will be cleaned every day.
Breakfast and any meals that are ordered will be served in the dining room. If you so desire, packed food can be sent to the rooms. Please order lunch and dinner at least a day in advance as it is cooked at home.
There is provision for making tea/coffee in the kitchenettes.
Being a home-stay, we do not offer the typical “room service” as in hotels.
Please help us to conserve water and avoid doing laundry in the rooms. Laundry facilities are available and this can be made use of.
Breakfast is complimentary. Usual menu is either Idli or Dosa with sambar and chutney, poori with potato, Appam with potato curry etc. You can request omelet for an extra cost. If you have a problem with any of these items please inform early.
Vegetarian lunch and dinner can be served, provided at least one day’s notice is given; preferably at the time of booking.
Charge is 175 Rs per person per meal.
The menu is usually South Indian for lunch. You can request white or our own red rice. Usually served with one gravy like Sambar/ Erissery/ Dal and two vegetable side dishes. Many of the vegetables are from the garden. Curd, pappad, pickle are accompaniments.
Dinner is usually more North Indian with Roti, One lentil like Chana, Dal or Rajma, one vegetable dish and a seasoned rice like tomato or lemon rice.
Food has been very popular with most guests and they have given raving reviews.
Transport
Pickup from Mysore (110 km), Calicut (140 km) and Coimbatore (140 km) can be arranged; taxis can be hired for local travel/ sightseeing.
